Box Tops

Bikers and Walkers:
▪ If crossing Fishhawk Blvd., students should cross at the crosswalk closest to home. In other
words, do not cross additional driveways for the shopping centers. We want to be sure our
students avoid cars.
▪ Students must follow all crossing guard instructions. Crossing guards are employees of
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department and work with our school resource deputy to keep
all students safe.
▪ Secure your bicycle at the designated bike racks or fence at your own risk.
▪ Children under the age of 16 must wear a helmet when riding a bike. It is the law.
Additionally, students are not to wear headphones while riding bicycles. The Sheriff’s
Department enforces these laws.

Bus Riders:
▪ All bus riders must ride their assigned bus and use their assigned bus stop.
▪ Bus passes are available from the student affairs office if a driver asks for one.
▪ Students must follow all the rules and meet all of the expectations outlined in the HCPS
Handbook.
▪ Students are expected to remain on the bus until 9:15 when the gates open. Students may
not walk off campus after leaving the bus. Once on the bus, students are “at school.”

Car Riders:
▪ Cars must follow the traffic of the loop in front of the school. Two lanes merge to one to keep
the traffic off Fishhawk Blvd.
▪ Drivers must follow the directions of the employees directing traffic. Cars are expected to
move all the way up to the “Parent Pick Up” sign in front of the office in order to maximize the
number of students getting out at once.
▪ Please be patient. We expect everyone on campus to be civil.

Rainy Day Plans
▪ When there is expected inclement weather, the administration will send text updates to any
changes to normal plans.
▪ Please note for walkers and bikers: we typically see a large influx of cars in the car line on
rainy days. Please be extra patient. No one wants to get wet, but realistically, we will all
probably be unable to avoid it.
▪ All families should have a plan in mind and communicate that plan so there are no surprises when that
afternoon storm pops up
